Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute the contract between Bridge Staff Solutions ("the Agency") and the client ("the Client") for the supply of temporary healthcare workers or the introduction of permanent healthcare staff. By requesting staffing services from us, you agree to be bound by these terms in compliance with the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

  • Agency: Bridge Staff Solutions acting as an Employment Business (for temporary assignments) or an Employment Agency (for permanent introductions).
  • Candidate: The person introduced by the Agency to the Client for an Engagement.
  • Client: The person, firm, or corporate body requiring the services of the Agency.
  • Engagement: The employment, engagement, or use of the Candidate by the Client on a temporary or permanent basis.

2. Compliance & Vetting Guarantees

As a specialist healthcare staffing provider, we guarantee that all Candidates supplied to the Client have undergone rigorous vetting prior to deployment. This includes:

  • Verification of Right to Work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
  • Verification of active professional registration (e.g., NMC, HCPC) where applicable.
  • Verification of mandatory healthcare training and certifications.
  • A minimum of two satisfactory professional references.

3. Client Responsibilities

When temporary Candidates are supplied to the Client's premises, the Client agrees to:

  • Provide a safe working environment in compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation.
  • Provide comprehensive induction and familiarisation with the specific clinical environment and emergency procedures.
  • Assume responsibility for the direction, supervision, and control of the Candidate for the duration of the assignment.
  • Verify and sign the Candidate's timesheet at the end of each shift to confirm the hours worked.

4. Fees, Timesheets & Invoicing

  • Temporary Placements: The Client will be invoiced weekly based on the verified timesheets. The charges include the Candidate's pay, statutory employer contributions, and the Agency's margin.
  • Permanent Introductions: An introduction fee is payable if the Client engages a Candidate introduced by the Agency within 6 months of the initial introduction. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the Candidate's first-year annual remuneration.
  • Payment Terms: All invoices are strictly payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Liability & Indemnity

While the Agency makes every reasonable effort to ensure the suitability of Candidates, we are not liable under any circumstances for any loss, damage, expense, or delay arising from any failure to provide a Candidate for all or part of the period of a booking, or from the negligence, dishonesty, misconduct, or lack of skill of the Candidate. The Client assumes full liability for the acts and omissions of temporary workers while under their supervision.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
